New Eclipse Projects: DTP, STP and Mascara

There are some new projects coming up from Eclipse. DTP is Data Tools Platform. This will provide a vendor neutral set of tools for working with databases. The project is headed by Sybase, IBM and Actuate.

STP is Service Oriented Architecture Tools Platform. This will provide tools for creating and deploying services. This will also be able to deploy to and configure ESBs. Cool. I can not wait to see where this goes.

Mascara project will provide Supplemental Widgets for SWT. The initial code already contains the following widgets. An expandable group widget with 3 existing drawing strategies, hyperlink widget, combo widget with 4 drawing strategies includes a Tree, Table, and Color combo, list widget with 3 drawing strategies, a tab-like shelf widget with 2 drawing strategies and an attachable auto complete. Check out the web start demo of these widgets.
